About Us

BioGreen is a sister entity of BNC Ornamentals, which was established in the Lower Mainland (West Coast) of British Columbia in 1996. We are family owned and operated where our heritage and up-bringing stems from horticulturists in the Netherlands.

After our first crop was planted in 1996, we didn't stop there and continued to plant more varieties. Today, we have over seventy varieties of perennials and ornamental grasses.

In the sandy soil of the Sumas Prairie, located between Abbotsford and Chilliwack BC, we grow our perennials and ornamental grasses. These grasses are sold and shipped to all over Canada, the US and Europe.

Having already specialized in growing grasses in this area, in 2009 we began to focus our efforts on the BioGreens industry. Bio-fuels have seen a surge in popularity in recent years due to increasing concern over climate change and energy security and BNC is poised to be a leading producer of this product.

Our operations have passed the 2011 Clean Plants Certification stamp: BC-043-2011. This program is run under the Canadian Nursery Certification Institute.

BNC ornamentals are also proud members of the BC Landscape & Nursery Association and the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association.
